**The Role**
The duties of ESC MANAGER in DELM include the following:
- Set work area priorities, develop strategies and evaluate business outcomes.
- Accountable for accurate completion of work within timeframes, share own expertise with others and guide and mentor less experienced employees.
- Manage the development and implementation of safety compliance for all minor, medium and maintenance works.
- Provide advice to clients on the corporate services, infrastructure requirements and processes to ensure operational needs are met.
- Identify issues that pose a risk to DELM processes and provide advice to relevant DELM sections and stakeholders.
- Liaise with stakeholders in relation to estate planning issues and policies relevant to estate planning and development activities.
- Analyse and interpret facilities condition appraisals and develop plans for the delivery of maintenance and other estate work programs.
**About our Team**
Within the Estate Safety Compliance team the ESC MANAGER is accountable under broad direction to manage complex estate safety matters within an integrated workforce. They are accountable to ensure they have knowledge of and compliance with legislative frameworks, government decision-making and Defence policy requirements.
An ESC MANAGER will have considerable level of stakeholder engagement and will liaise with stakeholders in relation to complex issues. They will be required to identify, anticipate and respond to stakeholders needs and expectations to achieve work unit and Defence outcomes. They will be accountable to contribute towards ongoing self-improvement and professional development.
An integral skill for an ESC MANAGER is the ability to search for and interpret a broad range of legislation relevant to estate safety compliance activities. The ideal position holder will have or be studying towards a Diploma in WHS and have more than 5 years working in a safety compliance role.
