The National Blood Authority (NBA) is an Australian Government statutory agency whose role is to work in a collaborative manner with the Commonwealth and all State and Territory governments and other responsible parties to ensure that Australia's blood supply is safe, secure, adequate and affordable.

**Job Context**:
You will be part of the People and Communications team which is responsible for delivering a range of human resources (HR) and communication support functions.

You will be managing a multi-disciplinary communications function which includes project management, governance and administrative activities. Working closely with internal stakeholders, this role is responsible for coordinating and developing the NBA Annual Report, maintaining the NBA internet and intranet, coordinating NBA’s presence at key conferences, and working with external providers on digital and print material. This role works collaboratively on multiple projects across the organisation to achieve shared goals.

You will have excellent written and verbal skills, problem-solving skills, attention to detail and be able to provide valuable support to our stakeholders. You will also have exceptional organisational skills, demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and monitor service delivery.

**Primary Job Purpose**:
The duties and responsibilities of this position will require you to:

- Manage communication activities, including the development of planning documentation, procurement and contract activities and documentation
- Coordinate and facilitate the NBA’s presence and attendance to conferences, including organising corporate materials and merchandise
- Develop and implement business policies and procedures in relation to communications activities, conference coordination and merchandise management
- Work collaboratively with key stakeholders to develop, refine and deliver communications products (including digital and print).
- Provide advice on a range of communication activities
- Produce draft correspondences such as briefs, media responses and communications material requiring mínimal revision before finalisation
- Develop and nurture the communications capability of the NBA through the development and delivery of communications training and support materials
- Contribute to the NBA organisational strategy and promote a collaborative workplace culture.
