Our busy manufacturing factory in Malaga is looking for a motivated and driven Production Leading Hand to join their team on a full-time basis.

To summarise, your main responsibilities are:

- Lead by example and competently performs all duties of a Production Team Member.
- Supervise, train, and induct team members within designated work areas in all internal and external policies and procedures.
- Thoroughly understand and implement quality control techniques and ensure customer specifications are met.
- Ensure that all areas of responsibility are properly organised and productivity and performance criteria are met.
- Identify opportunities to improve performance and productivity in designated work areas.
- Investigate discrepancies in stock take and inventory control.
- Skilled use of food processing and packaging machinery.
- Ensure team members receive/adhere to breaks and rosters.
- Demonstrate strong organisational and time management skills.
- Implement directions given by the management.
- Ensure that all documentation is completed as per procedures
- Perform administrative and reporting duties as required.
- Ensure adherence to pick and pack and dispatch procedures, as applicable to the role.
- Adhere to Company’s policy in relation to Food Safety and Workplace Health and Safety as applicable to the role.
- Work in other areas of the facility for part or whole of shift basis to meet operational demands.

What do you need to be successful in securing this role?
- Experience of working in a food environment.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Basic knife skills.
- Fine motor skills.
- Access to own transport.
- Strong numerical skills.
- Sound knowledge of WHS & hygiene.
- HACCP experience.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure in a busy open plan kitchen.
- Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team.
- Forklift ticket (desirable but not necessary).

Your prospective employer:
Noshing is a family owned and run artisanal food design and manufacturing company that produces high quality, gourmet products that are distributed to supermarkets and restaurants around Australia and SE Asia.

We operate a production facility in Malaga where the end-to-end supply chain takes place, from ordering and storage of raw material inventory, to preparation, manufacture and storage of end products and finally packaging and distribution of products.
