**The Role**:
We are seeking a Head of Payroll to lead our payroll team. In this role, you will efficiently deliver the payroll function, ensuring accurate and timely processing on a fortnightly basis. You will also be responsible for reporting on workforce analytics, administering the Council's Human Resources Information System, and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements. As a leader, you will drive high-performance service delivery, lead system upgrades and enhancements, and ensure adherence to regulatory standards.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Lead and manage the payroll team to deliver efficient payroll processing
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll on a fortnightly basis
- Report on workforce analytics and administer the HRIS
- Provide operational and strategic leadership and support
- Drive high-performance service delivery
- Lead system upgrades and enhancements
- Ensure compliance with statutory, Award, taxation, and regulatory requirements

**Benefits**:

- Permanent full-time position (70 hours per fortnight)
- TRP range: $133,406- $163,900 per annum (depending on skills and experience)

**What We’re Looking For**:

- Thorough knowledge and experience of the payroll function
- Considerable experience in preparing and processing payroll for a similar-sized organisation
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Demonstrated leadership abilities
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of employee and organisational information.
