Our Group Secretariat team are dedicated people who provide corporate governance advice and corporate secretariat services to the Commonwealth Bank Board of Directors and its Committees, and to our subsidiary companies and their various committees.

Working in this team, no two days are the same. You’ll be tasked with providing high quality governance services to one of Australia’s largest financial services organisations.

**Do work that matters**
- Providing advice on CBA’s governance policies and procedures and compliance issues to assist directors and management in discharge of their duties
- Advising in relation to corporate governance practices and providing (non-legal) advice regarding relevant aspects of the Corporations Act, ASX Listing Rules and APRA Prudential Standards
- Developing and maintaining effective stakeholder relationships by being a trusted and valued adviser
- Supporting the delivery of the CBA Annual General Meeting, Annual Report and Corporate Governance Statement
- Maintaining a thorough knowledge and understanding of Bank's corporate governance structure, standards, regulations and legislation
- Developing and maintaining internal policies, procedure manuals and templates in pursuit of best corporate governance practices
- Supporting the testing and performance of risk controls mapped to the Group Secretariat team
- Assisting in the delivery of governance projects for the benefit of the Group Secretariat team and / or broader CBA Group

**We're interested in hearing from people who have**
- **A law degree and Graduate Diploma of Applied Corporate Governance are essential.**:

- A minimum of five years’ experience in a governance role, a combined governance and legal role or a private practice legal role specialising in advising on governance matters
- Strong organisational skills including the ability to prioritise heavy workloads, meet deadlines, work collaboratively as part of a team but also work autonomously and have a high degree of professionalism
- Highly motivated with a personal commitment to exceptional service and proactive, efficient and confident
