Our client, a specialist cardiology family practice based in Sydney for almost 40 years, services both rural NSW and Australia-Pacific and provides expert assistance to people with heart conditions. They are focused on combining knowledge with the latest available technologies to provide the highest level of personalised cardiac care.

We are looking for a
**Medical Receptionist **to join our team based in Darlinghurst, Sydney NSW part-time.

**The Company**:
We provide Tailored Heart Care plans personalised to all our patients. We offer services from screening and prevention to treatment of complex coronary artery or valvular heart disease. Our team is experienced in ensuring your care from your initial consultation through to your post treatment follow up appointments. We have several memberships and affiliations including Northern Beaches Hospital, UNSW, Notre Dame University and St Vincent’s Private Hospital.

We are a friendly and inclusive team with great tenure are dedicated in providing great customer service, patient-centric care and professionalism. in delivering exceptional services to our clients. We are looking for a Financial Account Manager to expand and join our team to grow professionally and collaboratively in Sydney.

**The Role**:

- Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner, ensuring a positive experience for all individuals entering the clinic.
- Schedule appointments and manage the clinic's appointment system efficiently, considering the availability of healthcare professionals and optimizing patient flow.
- Collect patient information, update electronic medical records accurately, and ensure all necessary forms and documentation are complete.
- Verify insurance information, obtain necessary authorizations, and handle billing-related inquiries in accordance with relevant policies and procedures.
- Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and provide general information to patients and other callers, directing them to the appropriate department or healthcare professional as needed.
- Coordinate with the clinical staff to ensure a smooth patient flow, minimizing wait times and optimizing the efficiency of daily operations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area, waiting room, and front desk, ensuring a welcoming and comfortable environment for patients.
- Stay updated on clinic policies, procedures, and healthcare regulations to provide accurate and up-to-date information to patients and colleagues.

- Proven experience working as a medical receptionist or in a similar role within a speciality clinic
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients, healthcare professionals, and colleagues.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities effectively.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, insurance procedures, and billing practices.
- Ability to maintain professionalism and composure in stressful situations.
- Familiarity with regulations and commitment to maintaining patient privacy and confidentiality.
- Polished, articulate, and good interpersonal skills
