Children's Health Queensland provides services from key locations in the Brisbane metropolitan area and works with the 15 other hospital and health services as well as NGOs and charity partners in Queensland to deliver an integrated network of healthcare services and support across the state.
**Your Opportunity**:
The position of Advanced Social Worker Bereavement Service Coordinator will:
- Provide leadership in delivery of a contemporary model for Bereavement Care and coordination that is fit for purpose for Children's Health Queensland, Hospital and Health Service (CHQ). The position is responsible for implementing a standardised CHQ response for bereaved families and their community of supporters that aligns with the Australian Health and Quality Standards.
- Work collaboratively to implement a paediatric bereavement model that:
- is informed by contemporary literature, draws on current theory, best practice models of care, benchmarking and scoping of similar services from a national and international perspective.
- ensures broad stakeholder consultation, that is inclusive of hospital and community based partners and bereaved family members.
