The Central Adelaide Local Health Network (CALHN) Mental Health Clinical Program works with youth, adults and older people and provides a stepped range of services encompassing emergency, acute inpatient, sub-acute, community and rehabilitation services. The Mental Health Clinical Program works in partnership with a wide range of stakeholders including consumers, the community, professional groups such as General Practitioners, emergency services, non-government organisations and other government departments.

Cramond Clinic is an inpatient service which provides acute and intensive care to consumers who have been admitted.

The Social Worker is a mental health clinician and as part of a multidisciplinary mental health team, provides Social Work / psychosocial services including assessments, care planning, treatments, interventions and programs to enhance recovery orientated outcomes for consumers and their families and carers. These lead to improved clinical outcomes for the consumers by stabilising presenting problems and enabling decision-making regarding transfer for further care.

The Social Worker demonstrates a proficient level of mental health professional knowledge and skills and participates in educational, quality improvement and planning activities.

**Qualifications**

Appropriate degree or equivalent qualification which gives eligibility for full membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers.

**Essential Requirements**
- Current National Police Clearance (NPC)
- Working with Children Check
- Immunisation screening as indicated in the role description. SA Health Services are required to implement the Addressing vaccine preventable disease: Occupational assessment, screening and vaccination policy in the workplace.
