**Lindsay Transport is currently seeking Dockhands to join the team in the Sydney Depot.**
Lindsay Transport is the largest transporter of fresh produce in Australia, specialising in temperature sensitive, time-sensitive freight into Central Markets and major Grocery Distribution Centres to help our customers best meet their national supply chain needs.

Today we employ over 1600 exceptional individuals, with roughly 35% based in Regional Australia, and together we service over 2 million tonnes of temperature-controlled freight annually across the country.

**About the role**:
We are seeking various Dockhands to work in the busy warehouse in our Erskine Park Depot. The positions will be offered on a full time basis.

The main responsibility for Dockhands is loading and unloading vehicles, as well as:

- Receive and record stock that comes in
- Ensure correct storage and dispatch of items in a timely manner
- Ensuring goods are stored in correct areas so that they can be easily located when loading
- Being mindful of equipment to identify wear and maintenance requirements
- Performing stock takes as required
- Primarily loading and unloading dry, fresh, refrigerated, frozen freight onto for distribution

**This is an entry level role that would be for perfect for a school leaver or someone looking to enter the industry.**

To be successful for this role applicants must:

- Pass a Commercial Drivers Health Assessment including drug and alcohol test
- Have good attention to detail
- Take pride in their work
- Be reliable, punctual and committed to the role
- Have clear communication and writing skills
- Have a commitment to WH&S
- Hold a C class driver's licence and their own transport

Past experience in logistic, warehousing or transportation or experience pick packing fresh, frozen or chilled produce is well respected for this role but not a minimum requirement.
