**About the role**
Plan, co-ordinate and oversee the delivery of high quality early childhood services in the City of Glen Eira according to the aims and objectives of the service and be responsible for policy implementation, program development and service provision.

Provide positive leadership including promotion of effective teamwork and co-operation, and support staff in all areas. Ensure that staff management and practice achieve the best outcomes and are in accordance with Council policy and required legislation.
- Other responsibilities include_:

- Manage and co-ordinate the day to day operation and functioning of Family Day Care, and Occasional Care services.
- Undertake planning and implementation of all strategic and operational aspects of early years education and care to meet Department and Council objectives.
- Coordinate the delivery of the early years education and care programs
- Continually evaluate service provision and implement service developments and improvements so that the services function in the best interests of the children in care, their families, educators and staff.
- Monitor compliance and accreditation with the agreed standards and National Quality Framework, Children’s Services Regulations, and other relevant legislation and take or support appropriate action where necessary.
- Contribute to the preparation of and monitoring of program budgets for the service.

**About you**
We are seeking a proactive, adaptable, and resourceful individual who is results-oriented and possesses strong communication and prioritisation skills.

You will possess the ability to effectively engage with a range of stakeholders and demonstrate strong leadership skills. Prior experience in change management is essential for this role.

The following is also required:

- Tertiary qualifications in Early Childhood and extensive experience in family and children’s services
- High level communication and negotiation skills which facilitate effective interaction at all levels
- Working With Children Check
- A current driver’s license is essential
