- Part Time.8 FTE Permanent Position
- Classification: Consumer Service Delivery Level 3 with a salary range of $77,656 - $83,565 per annum pro rata + Superannuation

Neami National is a community mental health service supporting people living with mental illness to improve their health, live independently and pursue a life based on their own strengths, values and goals.

We have been providing mental health support for over 30 years. We were founded on an alliance between professionals, individuals and their families. Collaborative recovery remains at the heart of who we are today.

**About your new role**:
Northern Housing Pathways is a partnership between Neami National, Northern Area Mental Health Service (NAMHS) and Haven Home Safe. The aim of the program is support consumers being discharged from these clinical services that are homeless or at risk of homelessness, by providing access to housing or helping maintain tenancies.

The Pathways Housing Support Worker will be based at Neami Fairfield (Wadamba Wilam) and NPU - Northern Psychiatric Unit. They will have caseload of consumers living in transitional housing properties. They will support consumers to develop a housing plan and an exit plan to create a positive transition into long-term sustainable housing. They will also work with each consumer to plan future housing options and to identify what referrals they might need to other services to reduce their chance of homelessness in the future

**What will you bring to the role?**
- Experience in working with homelessness
- Experience working with First Nations consumers
- Experience or demonstrated desire to work in an acute inpatient unit
- Extensive experience and the ability to engage consumers and carers
- Fundamental knowledge and understanding of the housing sector and a commitment to keeping up to date with changes and reform

**What the role requires**:

- National Criminal History Check (Police check) - disclosable outcomes considered
- Current Working with Children Check required before commencement of work
- Current Drivers licence
- Australian Working Rights
- As part of Neami’s condition of employment you will need to provide appropriate evidence of being fully vaccinated against COVID-19 (having received three doses) to Neami National.
