**About the Role**
Reporting to the Manager, Human Resources, your role as HR Advisor will help deliver HR business partnering solutions to the project. With an emphasis on promotion of diversity and inclusion within the project, you will also have insight and responsibility for the Projects industry Capability and Inclusion (ICI) initiatives.
- Within the project, your role will be to help identify challenges, opportunities to develop and implement people strategies that deliver success for the project.**As Human Resources Advisor, you will be accountable for**:

- Providing end to end Human Resources assistance to the Project team
- Support the project with the mobilisation and demobilisation of project team members.
- Engage with key stakeholders throughout the project to ensure accurate support and advice is being delivered for employee relations & human resource issues in line with Employment Legislation.
- Take a lead role in coaching managers throughout the entire performance management process of employees including grievances in line with McConnell Dowell’s Disciplinary procedure.
- Act as a point of escalation and resolution for HR related queries, issues and requests from both internal and external stakeholders.
- Partner with Project leaders to support end-to-end recruitment activity.
- Plan and deliver innovative workforce solutions and initiatives to meet local ICI targets.
- Actively engage with the project team and subcontractor base to identify and activate workforce participation and social procurement opportunities with a focus on employment & procurement outcomes for priority cohorts
- Establish and maintain appropriate systems for the accurate collection and validation of workforce participation and social procurement data
- Provide monthly reporting in line with project requirements
- Assist in the planning and delivery of activities that align with objectives of the McConnell Dowell Reconciliation Action
- Assist in delivery of our TIPP (Tasmanian Industry Participation Plan).

**About your capability, behaviours and experience**:

- Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Business or relevant discipline
- Must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in the same or similar role
- Exceptional organisational and time management skills and demonstrated project management capability
- Experience, knowledge and understanding of contemporary Human Resources issues and policies
- Visibly promote our values and shared initiatives.
- Experienced in the interpretation and advice of Industrial Awards and Enterprise Bargaining Agreements.
- Experience working with social enterprises and Aboriginal businesses
- Background in delivering workforce development and social procurement requirements within infrastructure projects
- Experience working with the implementation and delivery of diversity and inclusion programs
- Strong data management, reporting and administration skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Hold valid working rights in Australia
