We offer around-the-clock emergency and critical care services to ensure that pets receive the timely and expert care they deserve.
We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Casual Client Services Representative/Animal Attendant. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting both our clients and their beloved pets during their time of need. As the first point of contact for clients visiting our centre, you will greet them with empathy and professionalism, providing assistance and guidance as required. Additionally, you will be responsible for ensuring the comfort and well-being of our animal patients, assisting veterinary staff with handling, feeding, and monitoring animals under our care.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Greet and assist clients in a friendly and professional manner
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries with accuracy and efficiency
- Schedule appointments and manage client information using our electronic records system
- Assist with admitting and discharging animal patients, including completing necessary paperwork
- Provide basic animal care duties such as feeding, walking, and cleaning
- Monitor the condition of animal patients and report any changes or concerns to veterinary staff
- Maintain cleanliness and organization within the facility, including animal enclosures and public areas
- Adhere to all protocols and procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of animals and staff
**Requirements**:
- Previous experience in a customer service or animal care role is preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to remain calm and composed in stressful situations
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Genuine passion for working with animals and providing exceptional care
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as needed
- Certificate II or III in Animal Studies or equivalent qualification is desirable
