**About the role**

As an integral member of our inter-disciplinary team, you will deliver premium dental services and improve population health. The successful applicant will be joining our dynamic dental team in the provision of high-quality dental services to the local community. You will have the support of many experienced clinicians and dental assistants who are committed to mentoring new graduates.

This position will be based at our new state of the art dental clinic in Sebastopol and the successful applicant will be required to work from time to time at our Wendouree clinic or on other off-site projects.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Services delivered are effective, efficient, coordinated and client focussed.
- Ensure patient flow by ensuring efficient patient scheduling and time management.
- The members of the dental team work together within their particular areas of competence, to provide the best possible care for their patients.
- Provide effective and efficient chair-side support to a multi-disciplinary clinical team and educational clinical team.
- Provision of an advanced level of clinical care that is of a quality consistent with Grampians Health clinical standards and policies (inclusive of Infection Prevention and OH&S Policies and Procedures).

**Skills & Experience**
- Formally recognized tertiary qualifications in dental assisting e.g.Certificate III in dental assisting
- Demonstrate knowledge of dental assisting and infection control
- Hold a current drivers licence and have access to reliable transport
- Possess a sound understanding of patient centred care
- Demonstrate a high level of interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate at all levels
- Possess sound time management and organisational skills
- Ability to be flexible in work locations and hours of duty
- Capacity to work in a range of clinical environments

**Selection Criteria**
- Essential : Do you hold a formally recognised tertiary qualifications in Dental Assisting, E.g. Certificate III in Dental Assisting
- Essential : Do you hold a current Victorian Drivers Licence?
