We are looking for a Principal Commercial Analyst to join our Commercial and Rail Access team. In this role you will be responsible for providing expert commercial and stakeholder management skills to deliver market and industry analysis, strategic commercial analysis and key account management including critical negotiations and contract management. This is a permanent, full-time opportunity that is based in our Brisbane CBD office with hybrid working options
Your ability to work in a fast-paced environment and coordinate responses in a timely manner coupled with your strong negotiating and influencing skills will be paramount to your success in this role. You will also have outstanding communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

**As a Principal Commercial Analyst, you can anticipate some of your daily activities to include**:

- Developing and reinforcing commercially focused relationships with internal and external stakeholders and take a central role in complex negotiations
- Provide professional expertise, support, advice and co-ordination to lead project-based teams to ensure delivery of effective and commercially valuable solutions.
- Formulating and developing commercially focused rail access packages, negotiating and administering commercial agreements and managing obligations
- Synthesizing market and business research and completing financial analysis to maximize commercial returns
- Supporting data driven decisions considering commercial and risk positions in the development of strategy and agreements
- Analysing and managing performance, making commercially sound operational decisions and managing operational incidents to achieve satisfactory resolution

**About you**
- Previous experience as a commercial analyst or similar role.
- High level of financial, analytical and problem-solving skills to develop commercially valuable solutions
- High level of skill in operating in a demanding and dynamic work environment dealing with conflicting priorities to achieve results
- High level of skills in administering Commercial Agreements
- Tertiary qualification in Business or related Legal, Risk or Logistics qualification - highly desirable

This is a permanent full-time opportunity which has an annual salary of $127,221 (pro-rata) + super + free rail to and from work on duty days. Some travelling and outside of hours work may be required from time to time. To read the position description click here
