The NDIS

The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) supports people with disability to participate in and contribute to improving social and economic life, as well as provide certainty that people with disability will receive the care and support, they need over their lifetime. The NDIS provides multiple ways to assist people with disability to exercise choice, including taking reasonable risks in the pursuit of their goals and the planning and delivery of their supports. Your Opportunity

As a skilled and experienced Workplace Trainer covering the Northeast Metro area, you will be based in either Midland WA 6056 or Morley WA 6062 at one of the Mission Australia NDIS offices. You will be a vital link between the NDIA and our Local Area Coordination (LAC) teams for NDIS-related learning and development needs. Your responsibilities as the Workplace Trainer include planning, facilitating, and delivering staff training across the area, focusing on both performance enhancements, and ensuring compliance against relevant service delivery standards, policies & procedures.
- This role is part of a virtual training team, and you will often work in a virtual environment._

You will consistently demonstrate a positive and approachable disposition to all people, including those experiencing varying levels of ability. Self-motivated in your approach, you will thrive both when working independently and as a part of a team. You will be committed to delivering high quality outcomes across a range of performance areas and will enjoy creating, delivering, and recording outcomes of training provided to our teams.

Your Key Responsibilities
- Support staff with day-to-day troubleshooting issues related to systems and process
- Auditing NDIS Client Plans against the national requirements
- Delivering training to Local Area Coordination Staff in line with NDIA requirements
- Develop and adjust training packages to meet the needs of the team
- Working cooperatively with Workplace Trainers across other Mission Australia LAC areas to ensure consistent performance across service delivery standards

Requirements for Success

With a significant background in
_Disability, Community Services and/or Mental Health_ sectors, you will be confident in your training and assessment processes. Other requirements include:

- Minimum Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
- At least 2 years’ experience in delivery of Workplace Training, with experience delivering NDIS training being highly regarded
- The ability to adjust delivery modes and methods to maximise impact and engagement
- Ability to conduct training needs analysis and develop, implement, and review training plans
- Able to establish mechanisms for feedback and continuous improvement of all training packages
- Experience with quality assurance and auditing processes
- Lived experience of disability (highly encouraged)
- Full driver licence with no restrictions
- NDIS Worker Screening and NDIA On-Boarding requirements
