**About The Role**

Based at Russell Island, initially working on the Ambulance Boat, this position will provide exceptional customer service and assist in the safe operation, maintenance and upkeep of the vessel.

Working in close conjunction with all crew, key duties will include:

- Provide excellent customer service
- Assisting with safe daily operations of the vessel
- Identify and notify Master/Operations of safety concerns and assist with implementation to prevent incidents
- Participate and contribute to emergency response plans
- Responsible for general maintenance and overall cleanliness of the of the vessel
- Securely moor the vessel at each pontoon, coil mooring lines neatly at the completion of each trip and inspect and splice mooring lines when required
- Carry out deck patrols during shift and ensure the vessel is protected from being damaged when in its berth
- Understand and meet the requirements detailed in the vessel’s Safety Management System, to actively participate in emergency response procedures

**About You**
- Provides exceptional customer service by having excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Understands and has a commitment to adhere to all Work Health and Safety (WH&S) requirements
- Demonstrates a high level of attention to detail
- Work harmoniously within and across teams
- Required to be within 10 minutes response time to call outs
- Availability to work day and night shifts, including weekends and public holidays
- Be well presented and possess a polite and professional approach at all times

**Skills, Qualifications & Experience**
- Certificate in Elements of Shipboard Safety
- Certificate in Senior First Aid
