An exciting temporary opportunity has arisen for a Field Construction Officer to join the NSW Telco Authority, a rapidly growing part of Digital.NSW within the Department of Customer Service.

You will be joining a friendly, fast-paced, dynamic and diverse team who is passionate about keeping people and places safe.

The role sits within the CCEP team in of NSW Telco Authority.

**About the role**:
We are seeking an experienced Construction Field Officer to interface with suppliers, Government agencies, and internal departments to support the build delivery of the CCEP Program. Focused on “on-site” issues management, effective escalations and reporting on site matters and status.

**Key accountabilities**
- Expertise in planning, evaluation and delivery of complex infrastructure projects
- Well-developed knowledge and understanding of current WHS Legislation and regulations
- Contractor management
- Manage variations and Change Requests impacts relating to costs and project delivery
- Willingness to travel to remote sites which requires overnight stays

**Key requirements**:

- ** **Qualifications and/or relevant experience in Engineering, Building or Construction (civil, Structural, environmental, mechanical, electrical or electrical/networks) Extensive telecommunications network on site construction experience - Specific to Base Station deployment Public Safety Network ,Mobile Network or similar
- Experience in managing, tracking, large number of telecommunication sites, issues and escalations
- The ability to manage competing priorities and provide high levels of support in complex environments

**Key challenges**
- Working in a matrix team environment with internal teams and external partner organisations to prioritise work packages and take appropriate action to address differing needs.
- Interfacing with government agencies to ensure timely outcomes on priority sites.
- Interfacing with commercial and engineering teams on key dependencies critical to the progression of construction completion and handover of sites
- Building of sites in remote regional locations
- Ability to carryout minor works on sites

Salary Grade 11/12, with the base salary for this role starting at $139,787 base plus superannuation
