Overview:
- Part-Time (22.8), Fixed-term Teaching position until 31 December 2024- Teacher Level 2.2 - 5 (Depending on Qualifications and Experience) plus superannuation.- Based at the Melbourne CBD campus, but may be required to work and/or be based at other campuses of the University.

About You

In the capacity of VE Teacher in Science at RMIT, your fundamental responsibility shall encompass the delivery of course material, the assessment of students, and the supervision of students enrolled in selected courses within the school. In conjunction with this, you will be an integral part of the school's continuous review of course content and its development, alongside teaching methodologies, including online delivery methods, and student assessment methodologies.

Furthermore, you will be required to interact with external organizations, industry groups, and RMIT's teaching and administrative staff over and above your primary tasks.

In order to ensure that your performance is consistent with the education level being delivered and assessed, it is incumbent upon you to participate in relevant vocational activities. You are expected to maintain and exceed the level of vocational competence appropriate to your role.
- To be successful in this position, you’ll have:_- Effective interpersonal and communication skills relevant to teaching and consultancy environments. This includes effective presentation and facilitation skills, and in the use of flexible teaching methods.- Demonstrated skills and experience in competency-based assessment.- Ability in ensuring current and contemporary vocational competence which meets and/or exceeds the education level being delivered and assessed.- Experience in relevant industry, and substantial discipline knowledge as it relates to this position.- Capacity to diagnose learning problems in students, propose and implement effective solutions.- Ability to contribute effectively as a constructive and proactive member of a team.- Demonstrated skills in the use of relevant information and communication technologies.

**Qualifications**:
- Teaching qualifications - Certificate 4 in Training & Assessment as a minimum. Higher qualifications in Vocational Education Training will be highly regarded.- Relevant qualifications in Science particularly in Chemistry and Biology.
