We currently have an opening for a 1st-year apprentice carpenter to join our passive fire team. **Applicants must**:

- Be dedicated to completing Certificate III in Carpentry
- Be committed to the four-year Apprenticeship.
- Work well in a team environment.
- Have high attention to detail and a good understanding of mathematics.
- Be reliable, punctual, and self-motivated with a strong work ethic.
- Have a current Driver's Licence.
- Have completed CareerGate 3 - General Aptitude Assessment.

**As a Passive Fire Apprentice, you will**:

- Assist with the installation and repair of passive fire safety measures such as fire doors, cupboards, cabinets, and support fire sealing of services penetrations.

**Career Outlook - on a day-to-day basis Passive Fire Technicians**:

- Protect human life and property from fire damage, using fire prevention techniques.
- Read and understand complicated technical documents.
- Install, test and maintain passive fire and smoke containment systems.
