**Position Status**:Ongoing contract of employment, with a 6-month qualifying period.

The Faculty of Health Science & Community Studies at Holmesglen provides a progressive, innovative and supportive teaching environment with strong professional links and partnerships within the health and community services sector.

Join our team as the Faculty Simulation Program Leader, where you will play a pivotal role in advancing academic leadership and professional development across our faculty. Your primary objective will be to promote best practices and an evidence-based approach to simulation-based education within Vocational and Higher Education courses, aligning them with curriculum and training package requirements.

In this role, collaboration is key, and you will engage with key industry and education partners to contribute to innovation in simulation. Your expertise will not only shape the educational landscape within our institution but also extend to participation in relevant research activities, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence. As the Faculty Simulation Program Leader, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the educational experience of our students and contribute to the broader field of simulation-based education.

**ABOUT YOU**
- Demonstrated experience in an educational environment, including a sound background in teaching/lecturing, preferably in a higher education context.
- Understanding of current issues and developments in the Higher and Vocational Education and Training sectors.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively lead teams and work collaboratively with academic staff to optimise student learning outcomes.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills with the demonstrated ability to manage projects, meet deadlines, achieve goals and work concurrently on and prioritise competing demands.

In addition, you will hold a minimum of:

- Degree in nursing or similar field
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment - TAE 40122 (or relevant predecessor qualifications) including any future successor qualifications.
- Master’s degree in education and/or Simulation or progress towards completion.
- Registered with an appropriate professional regulatory authority such as the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
