An established automotive company based in Sydney is on the lookout for a passionate and skilled Surface Mount Technology (SMT) Operator to join their dedicated team. They are a niche automotive company with global reach.

**Responsibilities**:

- Operate and maintain SMT equipment to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
- Monitor production processes, including solder paste printing, pick-and-place, reflow soldering, and inspection.
- Conduct routine inspections and quality checks to ensure compliance with specifications and standards.
- Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and perform corrective actions to minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with engineers and production teams to implement process improvements and optimize productivity.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Document production activities, including equipment settings, maintenance procedures, and quality control measures.

**Requirements**:

- Minimum of 3 years of experience as an SMT Operator in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in operating SMT equipment, including solder paste printers, pick-and-place machines, and reflow soldering ovens.
- Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to identify and resolve equipment malfunctions quickly and effectively.
- Understanding of IPC standards and quality control processes related to SMT assembly.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to perform repetitive tasks with precision.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Flexibility to work in a fast-paced production environment and adapt to changing priorities.
