Based in our Sydney office with WFH flexibility, you will be an integral part of our national growth.

The role of the **Research & Advisory Services Sales Representative **is contacting and selling research subscriptions and advisory services to C-level executives from large Corporate and Government Organisations in Australia and New Zealand. You will be responsible for lead management, cold calling, qualifying and speaking to senior executive decision makers, to introduce them our research and advisory services. Discovery calls and direct sales from introduction to closing their preferred package.

**Your duties and responsibilities**:

- Compile lead lists, research companies and prospects, and competitive position(s).
- Work on industry verticals and build a trusted network of contacts.
- Exercise control of your own leads and Salesforce customer database system
- Consult with prospective Heads of Technology, Finance and Information Security and Technology Executives to demonstrate the value of ADAPT research and advisory services.
- Identify and drive new business opportunities with new-to-ADAPT organisations across Australia & New Zealand
- Conduct needs-analysis and explain the most relevant ADAPT services to prospective clients and customers.
- Directly negotiate and organise proposals and subsequent contracts with clients and customers.
- Undertake responsibility for working towards your Key Performance Indicators and sales reports.
- Attend the events, meet the company’s customers and deliver beyond their expectations, ensuring customers and clients get real value and a return on their time and investment.
- Manage complex high-revenue sales across matrix and diverse business environments.
- Master and consistently execute ADAPT’s sales methodology
- Handle forecast accuracy on a monthly/quarterly/annual basis

**Skills and attributes specific to the position**:

- A minimum of 5+ year’s business-to-business sales experience essential.
- Ideally degree/diploma level education
- Ideally research or business intelligence sales experience
- High calibre sales professional: strong open, pitch, objection handling and closing skills.
- Able to own the process from lead development to research to sales to contract and close.
- Tenacity, Hunger, Confidence, and Energy.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Desire to learn economic drivers and business knowledge to be of interest.
- Common sense and a desire to accelerate into the corporate world.
- Understanding of current market challenges to leverage with prospects.
- Want to be part of a dynamic team, working closely to group and personal KPIs
- Ability to overcome objections and think on your feet.
- Skill at building relationships and account management.
- Desire to be trained in world class sales and process skills.
- Attention to detail and responsiveness
- Excellent written communication and oral presentation skills
- Strong proficiency in computer skills
- Proficiency in account planning and an understanding of territory management
- Knowledge of the full life cycle of the sales process from prospecting to confident close
- Able to solve complex problems and successfully manage ambiguity and change
- Solutions-oriented and able to constructively suggest a better way of working
