**HammondCare Daw Park is currently looking for a Permanent Full-time Manager to support our complex behaviour cottages supporting people living with dementia to join our team.**

With our unique model of care which places the residents needs as your number one priority, you will help create a home away from home for our residents. This role requires you to provide tailored care including personal support within the residential home.

**About the role**:
As the Manager for complex behaviour cottages supporting people living with dementia, you will be a core member of the Daw Park management team and work with a wide variety of people including the Residential Care Operations team, Local Health District, SDAs (RNs), SDCs (Carer’s), residents, resident representatives, and the multi-disciplinary health team to ensure resident outcomes are met.

**To be successful in this role, you will**:

- Advocate for residents to ensure their care is person-centred and focused on their strengths, capacities and promotes their well-being at every stage.
- Facilitation of clinical care delivery by the SDAs (Registered Nurses) and SDCs (Carers).
- Hands-on modelling, coaching and mentoring in clinical and complex behaviour management areas and processes
- Consultative in case management and clinical decision making
- Clinical oversight and professional competence as a Registered Nurse with experience in complex dementia-specific care
- Support and investigate clinical/resident incidents as required
- Communicate effectively with all stakeholders, both within HammondCare and external partners to see the best outcomes for the residents.

**To be successful in this role, you will have**:

- Tertiary qualifications in specialised dementia and/or mental health service nursing for older people.
- Significant experience operating as a consultant or specialist nurse preferably within Aged Care
- Demonstrated ability to support complex behaviours and psychological symptoms of dementia, motivate and develop a team and effectively work with other staff.
- Strong leadership and influencing skills.
- Attitude of service.
- Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
- Excellent analytical skills.
- Strong administrative and computer skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Empathy and patience.
