We have an opportunity for a qualified and experienced site based **HR / IR Advisor **to join our dynamic HR team.

Reporting to the Project Director with the support of our HR / IR Manager - Corporate, you will play an integral role in partnering with business leaders and management, to help improve the effectiveness of site operations and build a high performance culture.

This role, based at Fortescue's Iron Bridge Wet Plant Project, requires a FIFO 3:1 roster. Take this opportunity to work with a motivated employer who is striving to “BE LIKE NO OTHER “.

**ABOUT THE ROLE**
- Support the site team with the implementation of the Project Employee Relations Management Plan.
- Provide advice and guidance to site management on a range of HR /IR issues.
- Initial point of contact for employee relations advice / queries.
- Escort Union Organisers for scheduled Right of Entry visits, in accordance with legislation.
- Liaise with Client Employee Relation Representative and Union Organisers for the prompt resolution of IR related issues, in consultation with the Project team and SIMPEC Corporate HR / IR Manager.
- Oversee and lead HR / Admin site team: including HR Administrator, Timekeepers, Travel Coordinator and Project Administrators.
- Coach, develop and provide advice on how to best manage employees behavioural or performance issues in accordance with SIMPEC policies and procedures.
- Oversee new starter experience including first day meet and greet and presentation of the ER induction to ensure SIMPEC alignment.
- Management of the demobilisation process for both white and blue collar employees, where applicable.
- Liaise with Recruitment for mobilisation and demobilisation workforce planning.
- Ensure appropriate records and filing systems are maintained in a timely and confidential manner.
- Preparation of periodic standardised reports and data including ER narrative and statistical information for project reports, where required.
- Continue to the development of HR / IR standards, systems, procedures and processes as identified and / or required by the business.
- Escalation of issues where company risk can be mitigated by improved leadership actions.
- Engage at all levels of the business to ensure behaviours are consistent with SIMPEC’s values and goals.

**ABOUT YOU**
- 3 - 5 years’ experience in a HR and/or HR / IR role operating in a similar role or industry.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and engage a number of key stakeholders across multiple teams and disciplines.
- The ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility and demonstrated agility to adjust and strategise to meet changing priorities.
- Highly developed problem-solving skills with the ability to find contemporary solutions.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to partner with others and to influence change at all levels.
- Ability to link to Corporate HR / IR and balance the needs of both site and corporate requirements.
- Degree level qualification in Human Resources and/or Industrial Relations is preferred or Diploma in HR or a related discipline.
- Willingness to undertake and understand the complexities of a FIFO position.

**The Iron Bridge Project**

You will travel straight to site via the purpose-built aerodrome at Iron Bridge. Iron Bridge is located 145km south of Port Hedland and incorporates the world class North Star and Glacier Valley Magnetite ore bodies. The Iron Bridge project includes the construction of both Dry and Wet crushing plants and associated infrastructure as well as the installation of a 135km concentrate slurry pipeline to Port Hedland, together with a return water pipeline.
