**About our team**
The Local Workforce Solutions Branch is responsible for the operation, funding, and program management of the Local Jobs Program. The program aims to bring together local stakeholders to identify regional workforce priorities and develop and drive solutions to current and future workforce issues. The program includes Employment Facilitators and Support Officers, Local Jobs and Skills Taskforces, Local Jobs Plans, Local Recovery Fund, and the National Priority Fund.

The Employment Facilitators Team supports Employment Facilitators and Support Officers across Australia through regular communication channels including newsletters, webinars, websites and other resources. The team supports best practice by sharing good news stories with the Employment Facilitators and Support Officers.

The Local Jobs Performance and Insights Team manages the monthly reporting and performance from 51 Employment Regions as part of the Local Jobs Program and maintains this local intelligence received in a Power BI Monitoring tool. The team works closely with a range of stakeholders to provide place-based insights and intelligence to assist employers to drive employment, economic growth, productivity and prosperity through industry, sectoral and regional workforce strategies.

**The Role**
We are looking to fill 2 Program Officer roles available to support the delivery of the Local Jobs Program. The Department will consider filling the roles on a full-time basis, or as a combination of part-time work arrangements or job-sharing.

The roles involve working as part of a team to provide administrative support and operational tasks including research and analysis.

**APS 3 Program Officer based in Canberra**
Reporting to the Employment Facilitators Team, the Program Officer will maintain database and Excel spreadsheets, assist with preparation of communications products and website publishing, and respond to requests for information to support the delivery of the Local Jobs Program.

**APS 3 Program Officer based in Adelaide or Canberra**
Reporting to the Local Jobs Performance and Insights Team, the Program Officer will support the delivery of the Local Jobs Program. Experience using Power BI or the ability to identify data trends from program datasets would be beneficial.

**Duties and Responsibilities**
Responsibilities of the APS 3 across the roles may include:

- Assist with administrative tasks and communications.
- Maintaining spreadsheets to reflect key program changes.
- Assisting with database and spreadsheet management, including quality assurance checks.
- Undertaking research and analysis using employment and program data.
- Report on Local Jobs activities and identify labour market trends.
