**ABOUT THE ROLE**:
**Summary of the role:
- Located at Mercy Care Centre Young
- Fixed Term Full Time (6 months) available within the Hotel Services Department.
- This position may entail shift work, weekend work and public holidays
- The Hospital Assistant in accordance with Department of Health and Mercy Health Service standards and requirements is responsible for the; to ensure the facility is cleaned and maintained in accordance with prescribed routines and in line with infection control guidelines; linen distribution and collection within the facility; and waste collection
- Provide housekeeping services in line with the Mercy Health Model of Care, ensuring quality resident-focused care utilising a person-centred approach
- Ensure all areas of the facility are thoroughly cleaned and of a high standard at all times
- Work both autonomously and in a team environment

**ABOUT YOU:
- Previous Experience in housekeeping within Healthcare, Aged Care or similar industries.
- Ability to operate in team environment and work autonomously
- Punctuality and reliability, as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- High standard of cleanliness and attention to detail
- Demonstrated understanding of person-centre care

- Mercy Care Centre Young is a 26-bed subacute health service facility providing a range of outpatient, community health and aged care services for the people of Young and surrounding region. It specialises in geriatric evaluation and management; rehabilitation and palliative care.
