**Executive Officer to Deputy Secretary**:
Canberra ACT

The key duties of the position include:

- $113,631 - $119,891 per annum plus 15.4% superannuation
IFA Salary - $125,352 - $129,256
- Salaries in the department are provided through its Enterprise Agreement and supporting s.24(1) Determination. They may also be provided through Individual Flexibility Arrangements (IFA)._
- The department has an Individual Flexibility Arrangement (IFA) Framework applicable to employees at the APS6 and Executive Levels. Employees at these classifications may be eligible to receive salaries set out in the IFA Framework which are above those set out in the Enterprise Agreement and supporting s.24(1) Determination._
- These IFAs can be negotiated prior to commencement and the IFA will be provided to staff on commencement with the department._

- The Executive Officer will report directly to the Deputy Secretary and provide strategic and operational support to the Regions, Cities & Territories Group. The duties of the Executive Officer are:
- Provide advice on significant issues for the Deputy Secretary, and proactively identify needs and connections across the group and broader Department.
- Provide advice to the Deputy Secretary on policy and program including responsibilities under legislation, and identifying risks and mitigation strategies.
- Coordinate briefings and other materials for the Senior Executive Staff and Secretary
- Review, coordinate, and provide quality assurance on workflow items for the Executive and Ministers.
- Maintain effective relationships with Ministerial offices, including preparation of agendas and material for Senior Executive meetings with Ministers.
- Build and maintain high levels of engagement with internal and external stakeholders
- Lead and support strategic planning activities for the group (e.g. group planning days and other engagement activities).
- Contribute to the smooth functioning of the Deputy Secretary’s office by working closely with the executive assistant to ensure good systems and processes are maintained across the group.
- Ad hoc tasks as required to assist the group (e.g. on whole of Department processes).
