**About the role**:
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Event Manager to join the Royal Botanic Gardens and Domain Trust, based at the iconic Royal Botanic Garden Sydney. As a Clerk Grade 7/8, you'll enjoy a full-time ongoing position with a competitive salary ranging from $101,947 to $112,849, plus superannuation.

As a part of our Events & Venues Team, you'll take the lead in planning, managing, and curating major events across our stunning Botanic Gardens and Domain venues. From concept creation to execution, you'll create unforgettable experiences for our visitors. You'll play a key role in organising high-profile events like New Year's Eve, our signature events program, and the NSW Hallmark Events calendar, ensuring exceptional customer experiences and meeting revenue targets.

Joining our highly successful team will provide you with an exceptional opportunity to contribute to the success of this iconic venue. As an experienced Event Manager, you'll bring your creative vision, operational expertise, and passion for delivering outstanding events. Your skills in event operations, budget management, theming, production, risk management, and event concept creation will be put to the test as you present your innovative ideas to senior management.

Your pivotal role will involve supporting the Activations and Events Producer and the Head of Events and Venues in shaping the creative vision for New Year's Eve events, the Calyx horticultural exhibits, the signature events program, and the implementation of event management plans and strategies.

**Essential Requirements**:
To be successful in this role, you'll need:

- a minimum of 6 years' experience in event project management, design, theming, and execution for events with capacities ranging from 500 to 25,000 attendees.
- flexibility is key, as you'll be required to work after hours during holidays, weekends, and especially on New Year's Eve.
- a current Australian Driver's License.
