Kent has an exciting and challenging opportunity for an experienced Procurement and Contracts Officer, based in our Brisbane office on the Future Fuel Project.

**The Opportunity**

We are looking for a **Procurement and Contracts Officer** to join our Brisbane Projects Team. This role is responsible for ensuring the companies Procurement & Contract duties are carried out, on time and to the highest standard for project success.

In this role, you will undertake the following duties:

- Work with the Project Procurement Manager and greater Procurement Department on an Energy Transition Industry FEED through to EPC Project.
- Assist with the prequalification of suppliers and subcontractors in developing Project Approved Supplier List.
- Work closely with and expedite the engineering and procurement departments to assure that drawings and purchase requirements are released on schedule..
- Prepare, issue and expedite inquiry packages to the market and to approved suppliers.
- Review supplier bids and prepare commercial bid tubulations in line with procedures during FEED.
- Coordinate the flow of bid evaluations for technical and commercial approvals.
- Maintain strong control of your procurement workflow to align with the required schedule of activities.
- Undertaking contract management activities for suppliers in your direct portfolio, ensuring cost optimisation, risk mitigation and quality outcomes
- Ability to provide workable solutions to address a wide variety of contractual challenges.
- Provide commercial tabulations for recommendations and approval where required.
- Raise and commit Orders on a timely basis ensuring the full approvals process is followed.
- Assist in expediting materials to site where required.

**Qualification/ Certification**
- Procurement, Business, or Commerce Diploma preferable.
- 5+ years minimum experience in similar position.
- Strong computer literacy for spreadsheet work & tables
- Must be numerically proficient and a good understanding of commercial principles.
- Oracle or similar ERP systems knowledge an advantage.
