As a Business Development Associate at Dexus, you’ll have a direct impact on the growth and sustainability of the Private Capital channel within the Funds Management business. Your contribution will assist the team to generating new business and grow FUM across our real assets-based fund range through the growth in the number of investors, advisors and family offices we have across the platform.

How you will make an impact

Investor Relations and Distribution are a core function within the Funds Management team at Dexus. As a Business Development Associate you will be an integral part of the Capital team planning, developing and implementing marketing strategies, equity raisings, distribution of existing products and a variety of investor relations activities for existing and prospective real estate and infrastructure products on the Dexus platform.

As Business Development Associate, your key responsibilities are as follows:

- Build and maintain strong relationships with investors across a number of real estate and infrastructure products
- Support the execution of equity raisings across the existing Dexus private capital product suite and marketing new investment opportunities
- Raising awareness of the Dexus platform and products
- Maintaining timely and accurate record keeping of investor discussions and distilling key insights to the business
- Maintaining an in-depth understanding of the Dexus business and Dexus Funds Management products

Specifically, the core tasks are:

- Working closely with Investor Relations Managers to support the creation and implementation of fund marketing plans and equity raisings for across existing real estate and infrastructure products
- Supporting the Head of Private Capital with marketing new investment opportunities
- Working closely with the Distribution team to ensure investor leads for products are followed up and converted to investor commitment
- Maintaining an investor interest list for specific fund products and accurate record keeping of investor discussions including distilling key insights to the business
- Contributing to Fund Board papers to update investor relations and distribution activities
- Understanding investor sentiment and providing feedback to the broader business
- Continued cross-selling of products to existing investors
- Undertaking peer fund and competitor landscape analysis
- Timely upload and sharing of investor feedback through CRM system
- Quarterly feedback / update sessions with broader business on IR initiatives for each vehicle

About You
- Willingness to develop an understanding of real assets (property and infrastructure) and the private capital investor market are critical.
- Minimum of 3-4 years’ experience within an investor relations or investment environment
- Experience in wholesale investment including a client focussed approach to investment solutions and recommendations
- Proven track record of delivering a range of projects from conception to completion
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
