**Position Description**

Volvo Group Australia is seeking a Supervisor to support warehouse and material handling operations at the GTO IM Truck Assembly Plant in Wacol, QLD. This role will be offered as a full-time position. You will work closely with the Area Manager Material Handling to ensure efficient warehouse and material handling operations.
About the Role
- Maintain adherence to all Health & Safety policies and protocols, whilst conducting SMAT audits and regular review of Standard Operating Procedures to enhance safe working practices and conditions.
- Proactively seek opportunities to improve and enhance process efficiency through Continuous Improvement activities.
- Lead problem solving activities through Root Cause Analysis activities with diligent follow up to ensure all identified actions are completed.
- Ensure operational process adherence is maintained.
- Effectively manage the employees’ time and attendance, and actively deal with any deviations appropriately.
- Report and manage appropriate KPI results and reporting thereof.
- Motivate, encourage, and manage the overall performance of employees.
- Carry out performance feedback to employees about their own work performance.
- Oversee training requirements and personal development of employees.
- At all times demonstrate adherence to the Company Code of Conduct.

About you:

- A minimum of five (5) years’ work experience in a similar leadership role with a warehouse environment, preferably in the automotive industry.
- Tertiary qualifications in Warehouse / Operation Management (or similar).
- Proven Leadership and Frontline Management capabilities.
- A strong intrinsic drive to support all employees.
- Knowledge and practical experience in deploying Lean Manufacturing Principles.
- Proven communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Effective time management, planning and organizational skills.
- Always demonstrating workplace health & safety and good environment practices.
