This outstanding opportunity will join the finance team that supports the E-7A Wedgetail Platform

**Responsibilities**

**Business Support**
- Ensure routine financial queries are answered in an efficient and effective manner.
- Complete detailed assessment on financial queries in an efficient and effective manner.
- Assist with developing business case financial assessments through use of appropriate indices.

**Estimate At Completion (forecast and actuals)**
- Performs general analysis of actuals, forecasts/Estimate at Completion (EAC), and Budgets by control account.
- Provides financial advice to project manager / budget owner based on financial trends and upcoming forecast milestones in consultation with the Business and Planning Financial Lead.
- Completes basic and complex journals and/or accruals.

**Reporting & Variance Analysis**
- Collects, compiles, and documents source data from multiple sources.
- Runs routine weekly/monthly performance reports.
- Reconciles data from multiple sources for labour / non-labour for each control accounts by project or contractual vehicle.
- Assists project manager / budget owner with preparing variance analysis through detail assessment.

**Budget Baseline & Pre-Execution Setup / System Support**
- Provides support for budget baselines.
- Coordinate with the scheduling focal and project manager on resource loading into Open Plan Professional (OPP) Scheduling system.
- Assists with loading financial reporting system with data.
- Develops and maintains costs and/or schedule performance measurement baselines, including earned value and variance analyses.
- Completes baseline change request tasks working closely with Project Manager / Budget Owner and Scheduling focal.
- Loads financial reporting system with data.

**Rates / Programme / Overhead Maintenance**
- Responds to cost allocation code requests
- Accurately sets up or makes amendments to cost allocation/task codes within the financial system.
- Conducts basic reports and analysis.
- Assist with complex assessments through detailed reporting and analysis

**Partner with the Financial Accounting Team to complete the following**
- Maintain robust and compliant controls & processes to ensure accurate reporting.
- Assist in the monthly accounting close cycle in accordance with BDA established procedures and guidelines.
- Month end activities including journal preparation, posting, and control
- Reconciliation preparation and improvement
- Proactive and enthusiastic approach to learning new skills
- Great organizing and time management skills
- Data manipulation and analysis skills

**Experience/Qualifications**
- CA / CPA Certified desired (not essential)
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business related degree
- Have experience with the following:

- Working with and partnering with cross-functional teams on projects and initiatives
- Compliance Focused
- Good [WML1] PowerPoint skills
- Strong financial analysis experience
- Experience in forecasting, developing long range business plans and using the opportunity and risk system
- Experience in performing Estimates at Completion (EACs)
- Earned Value Management (EVM)
