We are a new to Melbourne with roots in NZ and are looking for an awesome Kitchen Manager (Chef) to join and independently run a small ghost kitchen. This role has high potential for growth and expansion with you at the helm of operations managing and leading others.

**Here’s where you come in**:

- Ensuring the smooth running of the kitchen.
- Able to lead, make decisions and work autonomously.
- Regular meetings with the Leadership team and briefings of operations.
- Cook fresh, delicious and high-quality dishes that exceed expectations and leave people wanting more.
- Ensure all dishes are cooked on time and to perfection.
- Adhering to food safety plan and completing food safety records.
- Take pride in the details.
- Make sure the kitchen is kept squeaky clean.
- Ensure mínimal food wastage and zero 'out-of-stock' situations.
- Provide coaching and mentoring to new team members.
- Stocktake at the end of shift, placing orders, checking quantity and quality of deliveries.
- Introduce and propose new ideas, recipes and processes.

**Requirements**:

- An ambition for kitchen operation.
- Ability to use kitchen equipment and follow recipes.
- Fast learner.
- Experience in like kitchens and/or ghost kitchens.
- Prepping, cooking and packaging foods, ready to be handed off to our delivery partners.
- Good at multi tasking.
- An interest in the smooth operation of a kitchen.
- A current Certificate in Food Safety Supervision.
- Possess a current legal right to work in Australia.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Casual

Pay: $22.23 - $31.27 per hour

Expected hours: 15 - 35 per week

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Evening shift

Supplemental pay types:

- Monthly bonus
- Overtime pay
- Performance bonus

**Experience**:

- Kitchen: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Food Safety Supervisors Certificate (preferred)

Work Authorisation:

- Australia (required)

Work Location: In person
