- Quality audits are conducted and provide support and assistance when responding to audit findings
- Work with management group to appropriately appoint staff into key positions
- Responsible to ensure that all policies and procedures are followed and kept up to date
- Ensure and support a safe working environment
- Act as one of the primary contacts with CASA for the organisation
- Plan, direct, and supervise the activities of a large-scale aircraft maintenance organization and mentor, motivate, and appraise the staff of a highly diversified workforce.
- Oversee the CAR 30, Part 42 and Part 145 elements of the operation.
- Oversee the functional management of the Fixed Wing Responsible Manager (RM) and Rotary Wing Chief Engineer (CE), and the CAM.
- Oversight of CASA and internal approvals and document management.
- Regularly monitor the outputs from the RM and CE and liaise with the CAM to ensure continued compliance with all applicable regulatory bodies.
- Maintain the requirements for initial and recurrent training for all Coulson Aviation Australia personnel.
- Be the point of contact with Safety and Quality management to initiate or support directives.
- Be the point of contact between RFS, Coulson AUS and Coulson Group for maintenance activities.
- Conduct an annual review of the Training Program to ensure the program is still current and relevant.
- Ensure regulatory approval of technical data supporting all major repairs and/or alterations.
- Implement, maintain, and enforce the processes and procedures to ensure all receiving, preliminary, hidden damage, in-process, and final inspections of articles undergoing maintenance, preventive maintenance, or alteration are performed in accordance with the applicable maintenance data.
- Ensure airworthiness standards that support aviation safety, by overseeing the CAMO Part 42 Exposition and be responsible for compliance with the CASR Part 42 regulations, the CASR Part 42 Manual of Standards (MOS).
- Work with management to establish effective maintenance personnel policies, best practices, and procedures including the ability to adjust work operations to meet operational needs
- Identify, evaluate, and resolve issues or problems concerning efficiency and effectiveness of the maintenance schedule or department.
- In collaboration with the RM and CE, be an active participant in recruitment and training initiatives.
- Establish and support programs which retain and qualify staff to conduct operational duties in accordance with internal and external regulations.
- Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, to gain cooperation from others through tact, courtesy, and diplomacy.
- File reports on serious failures, malfunctions, or defects in a timely and accurate manner. *REQUIREMENTS:*
- A minimum of 5 years aircraft maintenance leadership/management experience in a large-scale aircraft maintenance organization. Holds one of:

- a CASA aircraft engineer license or equivalent; or
- a certificate IV level in aircraft maintenance; or
- an aeronautical engineering diploma *ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:*
- Experience with and in-depth knowledge of Boeing 737, Cessna Citation, Bell 412, and/or Beechcraft King Air airframes including electrical, electronic, hydraulic, mechanical, and technical principles
- Experience with and in-depth knowledge of applicable maintenance directives, maintenance data reporting, using technical orders.
- A comprehensive knowledge of the regulations and standards applicable to airworthiness of aircraft authorised to operate under the AOC
- Working knowledge of CAR 30, CASR Part 42 and Part 145
- Strong CASA Regulatory knowledge
- Day shift
