We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Assistant to join our team. As an Accounts Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient financial management of the organisation. Your primary responsibilities will involve the processing and reconciliation of account payables, follow-up of outstanding debts, system administration tasks, and monitoring NDIS plan dates to match them with agreements.

**Responsibilities**:
Account Payables Reconciliation:

- Process accounts payable invoice and review for accuracy.
- Accurately reconcile invoices and purchase orders against supplier statements and records.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure proper coding and authorisation of invoices.

Debt Follow-up:

- Regularly review outstanding receivables and follow up with customers for timely payment.
- Maintain clear and accurate debt records, updating the status of accounts as required.
- Communicate professionally and tactfully with customers to resolve payment issues.

System Administration:

- Assist in maintaining financial databases and accounting systems, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
- Collaborate with the finance team to identify system improvements and streamline processes.
- Generate reports and analyses as needed to support financial decision-making.

NDIS Plan Monitoring:

- Monitor NDIS plan dates and milestones to ensure compliance with agreements.
- Match NDIS plans with relevant agreements and record updates or changes.
- Liaise with NDIS participants and relevant stakeholders for plan-related queries.

Qualifications and Skills:

- Proven experience as an Accounts Assistant or similar role, demonstrating proficiency in accounts payable and receivable functions.
- Sound knowledge of financial reconciliation and reporting processes.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and analysis.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with internal and external stakeholders.
- Familiarity with the NDIS (National Disability Insurance Scheme) and related plans would be advantageous.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Education and Experience:

- A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent. A relevant degree or certification in accounting or finance would be an advantage.
- Previous experience in an accounting or finance role is preferred.

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 22 per week

**Salary**: $44,316.12 - $76,003.19 per year

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
