Your role at St John of God Health Care

This position is an integral part of our DI&T leadership team; you will provide leadership and governance across the various Architectural disciplines within St John of God Health Care.

The Architecture Practice Manager works with business stakeholders, SMEs and Architectures both within the Digital & Technology function and across the Group to develop and maintain architectural governance processes, practices and reporting.

The APM role will provide direct line management of a number of D&T architects, but also establish a community of practice across all architecture domains being created within SJGHC.

This includes:
- Promoting the role and value of good architecture across a range of stakeholders.- Working collaboratively across the discipline to develop and promote architectural principles, standards, patterns, templates across all architectural roles.- Participating in the development and execution of technology roadmaps in line with the wider organisational strategy.- Providing design oversight to projects and BAU functions to ensure alignment with agreed principles, standards etc.- Develop strategic enterprise and solution architectures when required.- Direct line management of Technical and Solution Architects.

The Position- Work closely with the Architecture community, D&T and business stakeholders to design, develop and maintain the Architecture Framework, including governance, standards and templates.- Work within the Architectural Governance Framework to maintain standards and controls.- Manage the provision of accurate and timely reporting on architecture review outcomes and key decisions.- Manage and maintain a content repository that stores easily accessible artifacts to inform and guide technology changes in alignment to strategic directions.- Lead and continuously improve the Architectural Governance process in line with changing business requirements and strategic priorities.- Ensure the Architecture Review Group forms an effective governance and oversight body.- Act as the key convener of the Architecture Review Group, ensuring agendas, registers and submissions are maintained.- Provide leadership, through effective personal, professional communication, and interpersonal capabilities and change management as well as team and strategic capabilities - as outlined in the SJGHC Leadership Profile.- Continually develop skills, acquiring additional knowledge, via internal and external training.

You will have an extensive understanding of architecture governance processes, practices and reporting. You will possess tertiary qualifications in a relevant field, and/or proven industry experience with Enterprise Architecture certifications for recognised architecture methodologies such as TOGAF. As a leader, you will demonstrate experience in coaching and guiding Architects in the development and communication of Architecture Frameworks

To succeed you will have a minimum of ten (10) years’ experience as a recognised Architect of any type (Solution, Technical etc.) and a minimum of five (5) years’ management experience. You will demonstrate facilitation skills, with a focus on providing direction and guidance to reach business outcomes.
