The Role


Joining APM in a full-time permanent role and reporting to the Group Chief Information Officer, you will be responsible for leading the IT strategy and architecture functions within the D&T Group.

You will be part of the D&T Group leadership team, helping to define the operating model, ways of working, delivery and improvement strategies.

Based in Perth, Melbourne, Geelong, Brisbane or Sydney.

In this role you will:

  • Build a high performing strategy and architecture team and practice.
  • Develop target state architectures, enterprise architecture principles and standards.
  • Partner with relevant teams to develop customer roadmaps and to deliver solutions in alignment with digital target states and standards.
  • Develop appropriate strategies to improve customer experience, drive operational efficiencies and improve processes.
  • Provide leadership and set the strategic direction, mission and vision of the unit in alignment with defined strategic and operational objectives.
  • Develop and implement communication plans and stakeholder strategies designed to meet the key information requirements and needs of internal and external stakeholders to the organisation.
  • Taking an organisational and/or D&T wide view on issues, addressing them promptly and respectfully, negotiating tactfully to resolve differences and achieve outcomes.

Skills you'll bring

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Information Management, Business Management or a related field
  • Experience establishing and governing an enterprise and solution architecture practice in a complex, matrix organisation.
  • Experience in developing strategies to improve customer experience, drive operational efficiencies, improve processes and generally adopt a spirit of continuous improvement
  • Extensive leadership experience in dynamic and complex change environments, including leading teams through change and dealing with ambiguity
  • Performance and proficiency management, leadership, staffing management, time management, coordination and ongoing professional development
  • Highly effective communication and relationship building skills
