**Your new role**
Reporting into the Financial Controller the key focus areas of this important role are
- Work with the Finance Team to create and lead the implementation of new processes to meet the companies IFRS 17 reporting requirements
- Consider the technical requirements of IFRS 17 and ensure project streams and activities appropriately address the company needs
- Liaise with external auditors, actuaries, consultants and the Group to achieve project and reporting milestones
- Lead, coach and support reporting functions to effectively carry out their roles
- Communicate the implementation of IFRS 17 to all reporting functions
- Facilitate training to the Board and Departments across the company to ensure that IFRS 17 requirements and resulting financial information are clearly understood

**What you'll need to succeed**
- Strong understanding of IFRS 17 reporting requirements (essential)
- Open to Big 4/2nd tier or commerce and industry background
- A modern and progressive approach to business practices will be required
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to establish rapport and negotiate with key internal and external stakeholders
- Proven track record of meeting KPIs/business goals and targets
- Excellent analytical and abstract reasoning skills, possessing strong numerical reasoning
- Display sound judgment and the ability to solve problems
- Strong business acumen combined with technical accounting skills
- Excellent report writing skills
- CPA/CA qualified
