**About the role**:
As a Science Advisor, you will be a key member of our Science Services team, responsible for providing timely and high-quality scientific information and advice to support regulatory decision-making. Reporting to the Science Services Lead, you will play a crucial role in delivering scientific guidance aligned with EPA's strategic priorities.

**In this role, you will**:
To be successful in this role you will be required to (not limited to):

- Deliver Applied Science Connect service, including the Knowledge Bank.
- Deliver the Sampling and Analysis Service, including the provision of sampling and analysis advice.
- Deliver timely and high-quality scientific advice and information to meet organisational priorities.
- Develop and implement innovative process and system improvements to improve services and the quality of the applied science advice.
- Manage daily requests for scientific information, ensuring a timely and high-quality response.
- Provide data analysis and reporting to identify trends and emerging issues.

**Skills and experience**:
Here are the types of experience, qualifications, and qualities we are looking for:

- Tertiary qualification or equivalent experience) in environmental sciences or closely related discipline.
- Solid scientific communication and negotiation skills with the ability to express own views in a constructive and diplomatic way.
- Experience in relationship building and stakeholder management with the ability to monitor stakeholder satisfaction, constructively deal with issues and implement innovative solutions.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and contribute to a positive organisational culture.
