**About the Opportunity**

The Purchasing Officer will be responsible and accountable for the purchasing requirements of RACV Noosa Resort. This will be achieved through the efficient and timely processing and delivery of orders, including food and beverage products and general goods for use throughout the property.

Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will play a key role to ensure smooth operations for the supply of goods and food & beverage products received and distributed throughout the resort departments. Key responsibilities include:
- Maintain a commitment to workplace objectives and other areas of the property by supporting peers and management in the day-to-day operations.- Contribute to team meetings and support and recommend changes to improve business and operating efficiencies.- Process the ordering, receipt and issuing of stock for all departments, ensuring the type, quantity and where applicable quality of goods is accurate and delivered on time.- Deliver goods to various departments and pack stock away, ensuring effective stock rotation practices are implemented.- Ensure stock is rotated on a regular basis in all storage locations in accordance with HACCP and fill issue requests.- Accurately record and maintain all records relating to stock control.

This is a full-time position, working a 38 hours per week across a Monday to Friday roster.

**What you’ll need to be successful**- Hospitality experience in hotel or resort environment- Experience in purchasing, stock control systems, stock ordering, delivery, recording, handling and storage- Knowledge of stocktaking procedures, Queensland Food Legislation and HACCP- Ability to understand financial information and data with strong analytical skills- Microsoft Office - word, excel and outlook- Excellent written and verbal communication skills- Ability to work effectively in a team environment- The ability to comfortably lift 20kgs and perform repetitive manual tasks safely- Previous experience in hospitality or similar environment, highly regarded- Full working rights in Australia- Valid drivers licence (essential)
