This business is a fully integrated Facilities Management/Property Service provider that operates in all major sectors in the ACT and NSW markets. They seek to break the mould around service delivery and simply exist to provide the highest quality of service to a wide range of tenants and clients.

**Your new role**

We currently have a great opportunity for an experienced Sustainability Manager in the Canberra office. This role will be responsible for providing high quality services and achieving efficiencies. Directly engaged in the operations of the business, the role is accountable for enhancing the reputation and image of an up-and-coming service provider through exemplary customer interaction and service delivery.

**Key responsibilities will include**:

- Lead and Manage the Sustainability Team
- Monitor and report on sustainability and environmental performance, including providing recommendations for energy, water and waste-saving initiatives.
- Oversee environmental data collection and analysis to pinpoint trends and identify potential areas for cost savings and performance improvements
- Lead the preparation of Net Zero in Government Operations Strategy reporting, including incorporation of key data analysis
- Provide operational and strategic reporting enhancing sustainability and environmental performance for clients
- Develop Energy Management and Emissions Reduction Plans for Net Zero in Government Operations Strategy compliance.
- Liaise with energy retailers and assist the facility management and procurement teams with the management of energy accounts.
- Managing Green Lease obligations including preparing energy performance reports, chairing building management committee meetings and preparing business cases to implement environmental initiatives.
- Undertake NABERS ratings and BEEC's for key client sites.
- Lead the businesses own Environmental Sustainability initiatives and activities.
- Maintain strong client relationships, offering guidance on sustainability and environmental regulations.
- Act as a member of the Leadership Group and contribute to the strategic direction of the firm.

**What you'll need to succeed**
- Undergraduate and/or post-graduate qualifications in Engineering, Environmental Science or Related Field.
- Experience with NABERS and BEEC Assessments.
- Extensive experience in the building services, facilities management, or property management sectors
- Good knowledge of technical building operations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience in data management, analysis, and reporting
- Management and leadership skills
