**About the opportunity**

An excellent career opportunity exists within our Accounts section for a highly motivated and committed person to fill the role of Accounts Administrator.

The successful applicant will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of creditor/debtor invoices, assist with debt recovery and other financial duties as directed.

**Qualifications and experience**

**Essential**:

- Experience in and knowledge of accounts operations or a Certificate in a relevant field such as Accounts, Finance or Business Administration
- Relevant administrative qualifications and/or minimum 5 years suitable work experience in a related field
- Current class C driver’s licence.

**Desirable**:

- Demonstrated experience using computer software programs including Microsoft Office
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Demonstrated commitment to customer service
- Availability to work flexible working hours
- Knowledge of applicable legislation/regulations.

**Remuneration and benefits**

The salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with Blacktown City Council’s Enterprise Agreement.
- Entry level for this position starts at $1,396.13 per week
- 35-hour working week
- Opportunity to participate in Council's flextime arrangement
- Employee benefits such as leave entitlements (where applicable), 11% employer contribution payable to your nominated superannuation fund, Fitness Passport, gym membership discounts, and social clubs.
