The role

Reporting into a member of the senior leadership team, the Principal Chemical / Process Safety Specialist will be responsible for providing technical expertise on chemical services, processes, systems and strategy development. The specialist will also assist with guiding the sites and Corporate through the refreshment of Process Safety processes and activities.

**Key responsibilities**:
Mentor relevant site employees including Risk Liaison officers and Risk Champions through the newly established Enterprise Risk Management framework and processes;
Facilitate risk assessments e.g. HAZOP, HAZID;
Assist with BowTie development and roll out;
Play a key part in refreshing the organisations Process Safety processes at sites, by conducting training and awareness sessions and provide support to sites on Process Safety issues and investigations;
Assist with the establishment of site Asset Risk registers in accordance with the business's risk processes;
Provide Process Safety and input to Project Development as required; and

Utilise Chemical skills to support sites.

About you

To be successful in this role, you will have 5 - 10 years experience in Risk / Process Safety in a maintenance or asset management industry. You will have an in depth knowledge of risk processes, HAZOP / HAZID / risk assessment, Process Safety, ISO 31000 and asset management.

**Further to this, you will have**:
Degree qualification in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering;
Membership of the Royal Australian Chemical Institute or Chartered Professional Engineer classification on the National Professional Engineers Register;
Relevant post graduate qualification in Risk Management, Process Safety or comparable experience in consultancy or senior positions; and
