**About you**:
Reporting to the Digital Engineering Team Lead, this position is responsible for overseeing high quality traditional CAD and GIS drafting services, as well as developing new industry leading skills as Sunwater transitions from a predominantly 2D paper drawing based presentation environment, to an evolving one of digital engineering (with BIM focus). You will lead the team to adopt and advance new data presentation services within a digital information environment, using appropriate compilation, manipulation and refinement techniques to integrate data from a variety of sources, including aerial and ground-based LIDAR, third-party datasets, existing maps, AutoCad drawings and field observations.

**You will bring**:
Demonstrated technical skills in the use of traditional 2D drafting packages, including AutoCAD and ArcGIS and the ability to operate and use digital information systems to capture and manipulate data, develop accurate and effective digital models and unlock the power of digital information. You will have an understanding engineering principles, design procedures and drafting standards as related to water infrastructure, be able to analyse sketches, notes and other inputs to determine and plan the best approach to present such information with mínimal supervision. Supported by the following:

- Associate Degree in Engineering from a recognised tertiary institution or recognised equivalent
- Minimum 10 years in a senior technical officer position within the water supply industry (highly desirable)
- Knowledge and exposure to BIM and 3D modelling (highly desirable)
- Digital information data capture, manipulation and presentation experience in a 3D environment (highly desirable)
- CAD and GIS drafting experience relevant to the required skills and experience of the position
- Experience in leading and developing a team
- Class ‘C’ drivers licence
- Ability to read, compare, and interpret property maps, surveys, aerial photographs and records accurately
