WesTrac is seeking a skilled and motivated individual with experience in construction vehicle maintenance services to join our General Construction Branch in Tomago. As a vital member of our team, you will play a crucial role in providing general maintenance and lubrication service support to our valued Caterpillar customers. This position requires travel within our Newcastle Service area to ensure prompt and efficient service delivery. Your primary responsibilities will involve performing lubrication services, minor repairs, maintenance, and general inspections on a wide range of customer machines. Additionally, you will contribute your expertise to various customer projects. Your technical skills and knowledge will be essential in executing these tasks effectively. This hands-on role places a strong emphasis on safety, cleanliness, quality, and efficiency. You will be responsible for carrying out repairs and inspections on customer machines, ensuring adherence to the highest safety standards and delivering work of the utmost quality. Working hours for this position are Monday to Friday, from 6:30 am to 5:00 pm.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Timely completion of service work on haul truck fleet
- Ensure appropriate documentation is completed after each service event along with defect capture and verification
- Limited movement of machinery from the yard to the workshop
- Carrying out minor maintenance and repairs on Caterpillar equipment
- Assist on major component change out programs
- General cleaning of the Workshop
- General Workshop duties

**Skills and Experience**:

- Proven experience in a similar role
- Previous Service person experience and/or light vehicle certificate
- Experience performing oil and filter changes on heavy machinery
- Dedicated to maintaining and promoting safe work practices
- Strong commitment to meeting customer requirements
- Familiar with Caterpillar Equipment is highly desirable
- Proven experience in a similar role with mechanical aptitude is highly desirable
- Ability to work autonomously in the field
