**_ The Opportunity:_**
The Sunbury Library, situated within the Hume Global Learning Centre Sunbury, is the newest addition to Hume Global Learning Centres offering open plan, multifunction facilities. We offer new collections, programs, outreach and more.
The roster for this position is Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays, 7 hours per day, and includes one early start (beginning at 7.45am on Mondays) and one evening (finishing at 8pm on Thursdays). You may also be offered additional hours based on operational requirements.
**_ Position Objectives:_**
You will be responsible for contributing to the provision of high-quality library services that meet the educational, recreational and information needs of the diverse Hume community by delivering accessible, relevant and innovative resources and a high standard of customer service. You will also support the facilitation of learning, participate in collection development, and plan, develop and deliver library programs (with a focus on adult programming) through collaboration with community organisations and contacts, and as directed by the Team Leader Sunbury Library.
**_ Qualifications, skills, and experience:_**
- Graduate Diploma in Information Management or equivalent, facilitating eligibility for professional membership of the Australian Library and Information Association.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge and enthusiasm for working in modern public libraries and a demonstrated understanding of their role in the community
- Experience working in an RFID environment
- Current Working with Children Check
