Sheriff's Officers contribute to the provision of a high level of client services to all court users and to the overall security of Courts Administration Authority facilities, administrative personnel, members of the judiciary and other court users.

Sheriff's Officers contribute to an effective support service by performing all duties of a multi-skilled Sheriff's Officer including in court suport, prisoner security, in court management of prisoners, court precinct security and point of entry searching.

**Special Conditions**
- Multiple positions available.
- This is a Part-time position (minimum 30 hours per week) - successful applicants will work at least 6 hours per day, Monday to Friday. However, additional hours are regularly offered, based on the business needs of the Sheriff’s Office.
- Appointment is under the _Courts Administration Act, 1993_. Terms and Conditions of employment are governed by the _Public Sector Act, 2009_.
- This role is identified as a Prescribed Position and the successful applicant is required to obtain a Working with Children Check (WWCC) prior to employment with the CAA, which must be renewed every five years before expiry.
- As a justice agency, the CAA may receive details of spent convictions as part of any Criminal History Screening and use this information in the selection process.
- Incumbents will be provided with training in all aspects of the Sheriff’s Officer role and will be required to participate in ongoing refresher training as per Sheriff’s Office Policy.
- Sheriff’s Officers hold an appointment as a security officer pursuant to the _Sheriff’s Act, 1978_.
- Will be required to wear regulation issue uniform.
- Is required to hold current certificates in HLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation, HLTAID010 Provide Basic Emergency Life Support and HLTAID011 Provide First Aid or willing to obtain these Certificates.
- May be directed to work in an alternative location at the discretion of the Sheriff or due to the requirements of the courts.
- May be required to work outside of the normal hours of work and undertake intrastate travel, this may necessitate overnight absences.
- Appointees will be required to disclose their COVID-19 vaccination status.

**Remuneration**

OPS2 - $56,987 - $61,301 per annum (adjusted to actual hours worked)
