We are looking for an experienced **Cafe Manager** to join our dynamic team.

**Location: Sydney NSW**
**Position**: Full-time

**Salary range**: $70,000 to $80,000 per annum

**Responsibilities include, but will not be limited to**:

- Directing and managing the daily operations of the cafe to deliver a seamless and high-quality dining experience for all guests.
- Collaborate closely with chefs to plan and design menus, ensuring that offerings are creative, appealing, and aligned with seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
- Strategically plan and organize special events and functions, ensuring all aspects are coordinated for successful and memorable experiences for guests
- Oversee the purchasing and pricing of goods, adhering to budgetary constraints while maintaining high standards for quality and cost-effectiveness.
- Maintain detailed records of stock levels, financial transactions, and inventory to optimize operations and make informed decisions.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean, functional, and aesthetically pleasing environment that meets regulatory standards and exceeds guest expectations.
- Actively engage with customers to assess their satisfaction with meals and service, addressing any issues promptly and professionally to enhance the overall guest experience.
- Recruit, train, and supervise both front-of-house and kitchen staff, fostering a positive work environment, ensuring adherence to service standards, and promoting professional development.
- Conduct regular quality checks on food preparation, presentation, and service to ensure that all dishes meet the café’s high standards and customer expectations.
- Ensure the highest standards of safety and hygiene are upheld consistently in the workplace.
- Manage reservations, warmly greet guests upon arrival, and assist in taking orders to ensure a welcoming atmosphere and efficient service.

**To succeed in this role, you must have**:

- Minimum bachelor’s level qualifications in hospitality management or a related field.
- Minimum 1 year experience in restaurant/cafe management or related field.
- Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and inspire staff.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Solid understanding of café/restaurant operations, including inventory management, scheduling, and financial controls.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle challenging situations with poise.
- Ability to train staff and build a team.
- Understanding of high-quality service standards and customer satisfaction.
