The role

As part of our Maritime group, the Field Service Representative will be responsible for testing, diagnosing, operating and upgrading ‘In-service’ Combat System elements for the Royal Australian Navy. This position is also responsible for reporting on subsystems relating to CMS during acquisition (build) technical support requirements.
- Reporting to the Operating Technical Lead, providing technical support for Saab combat system elements, including ANZAC/LHD/AOR/OPV/LBTS/Reference Site operating support functions.
- Response to help desk tasking’s including urgent defects nationally for all Saab combat system products.
- Support Operating and Technical Lead to deliver complex technical solutions and improvement to acquisition projects and engineering (HW/SW and CSE).
- Assignment to acquisition program requirements such as Install, Set to Work, Commissioning activities for ‘First of Class’ upgrades including CAT 4/5, Harbour Acceptance Trials (HAT’s) and Sea Acceptance Trials (SAT’s) alongside integration validation and verification/test and activation teams.
- Undertaking system grooming and condition assessment activities across multiple platforms alongside the maintenance team.
- Comply with legislation and company policies, processes and instructions, including those relating to non-discrimination, safety and duty of care and the quality management system.
- Flexible work arrangements such as 9 day fortnight will be considered for this role._

About you
- Your skills and experience will include:_
- Extensive technical related industry experience for RAN assets.
- Superior expertise in the planning and prioritization of maintenance activities and the execution of tasking; including Inspection Test Plans (ITP’s), Job Safety Environmental Analysis Plans (JSEAP’s), and Standard Activity (SA) tasking.
- Ability to undertake periodic travel interstate and/or overseas.
- Experience with validation or authorization of technical documentation including test procedures, test reports and closing reports.
- Knowledge of RAN combat system operational needs and performance
- Knowledge of subsystems such as Radars, Navigational Aids, Weapons/Engagement and Sensor’s Integration.

As Defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants must be Australian citizens and eligible to obtain and maintain an NV1 clearance.
